he's really not that good
he's more like a ghost 
in his own neighborhood 

but at being a topic
staying in the conversation
he's like the tropics
for staying on vacation

managing his fame
casting a spell
it is a game
he does well

is he interdimensional
on the loose
is his fame intentional
seems more of a recluse

always strange news
long stares lingering tales
like Howard Hughes
long hair and finger nails

he keeps us in cuffs
tantalizes our brains
exposing just enough 
to keep us entertained

like Bob Barker
on The Price Is Right
or ColonelTom Parker

more than me

now there's traffic
in the sky
is it galactic
as it flies

it has gotten attention
all over the place
is it another dimension
or outer space

is it weather balloons
or is it ethereal
might as well be cartoons
trying to sell cereal

are you entertained
that they are appearing
when the government explains
it is not that reassuring

I hear the wind blow
through the trees
pretty sure bigfoot knows 
more than me

in our imagination

have to open our eyes
on this path
don't be suprised
bigfoot uses a different math

we may think
two plus two equals four
it is time to drink
from a different pour

it's a new school
the lessons mind spoken
most of our rules
will be broken

walk its halls
get a good education
people say it's all
in our imagination

and really while 
that may or may not be true
we sure do smile
a lot more than they do

bigfoot is a fish
will he bite
make your wish
in the still of the night

but his amusement park
comes with a bill
you may get a shark
instead of a blue gill

don't try to fillet
or to debone
could lose your way
in the unknown

you may want to wait
to open this book
you may be the bait
on the hook

I will be adding some more content to the Bigfoot Videos soon. I am trying to find out where and when all of the Bigfoot Festivals are going to be this year so I can make plans to attend the ones you guys would most want to find out about.

how we act

time to prepare
for a meeting 
to become aware
a bigfoot greeting

walk with the free
but you can bet
out behind the tree
bigfoot's not ready yet

in the in-between
bigfoot holds back
he's already seen
how we act

he sees our ways
judges if they're true
listens to what we say
watches what we do

out there resisting 
bigfoot is down with
only existing
as a myth

I am back in the neighborhood in Louisville this morning. What was supposed to be a 2 day visit to the holler turned into 11 days. It was a lot of fun. But now I have a lot of tasks to tackle. I hope that all of your tasks go smoothly on this day and in this week.

as the  New Year arrives

like in a hive

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yesterday I put a slide show up on You Tube. It is from the Woodbooger Festival in Norton VA that I attended back in September. I had planned on doing the slide show soon after the festival. But when I looked at the pictures for some reason the camera had taken every photo in jpeg and raw form. And it took the computer a little while to merge the pics into something that I could use. In the future I have to pay more attention to the camera settings before I shoot a lot of pics. I will include a link to the post with the video below.

it’s a fun game

and really sweet

a festival & a grill
share a name
a beast in the hills
is called the same

together they gather
all together excited
bigfoot would rather
not to be invited

know he will appear
so stay alert
colorful and clear
on many t-shirts

time to unwind
and spend big bucks
in the lines
at the food trucks

it's a fun game
and really sweet
it's in his name
that we meet

we know he'll escape
but we don't despise
we love the big ape
in the county of Wise

The poem is probably not my best work but I am kind of in a rush to get over to the Woodbooger Festival in Norton VA this morning. My cameras should be ready to go. I am looking forward to attending the festival. It will be my first time. I plan to get there and take a quick picture in front of something with the top hat and ukulele. And then I will start taking pictures of the festival and people in their bigfoot t-shirts. Hopefully you will see it in the blog and on you tube in a few days or weeks.

Enjoy your Saturday. Smile a lot. I am pretty sure I will be in a sea of smiles all day. That is pretty much how the bigfoot crowd rolls.
