I went to Bike Night at Cycle Gear last night. It was interesting to see so many motorcycles in the parking lot. I think most of the major brands were represented. I saw bikes from BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha. I am probably leaving a brand out. It was mostly sport bikes. I did see a Harley Davidson touring bike pulling out as I was coming in. The guys that work in the store had told me that a lot of the young guys like to drive down the street on Hurstbourne and do a U turn and then pop a wheelie in front of of all of the other bikers. And sure enough I saw quite a few motorcycles going a long way down the road on the back wheel : )
It was also pretty easy to see what the favorite helmet brands and models were. I saw a lot of AGV, Arai, Bell, HJC, KYT, and Shoei helmets sitting or hanging on bikes.
In a way it was a lot like a bigfoot festival. There were a lot of people and a lot of smiles participating in something that they were definitely into.
