are not what they seem

as night falls
out in the trees
as he calls
the owl still sees

danger hovers
all of it vicious 
best take cover
if you're small & delicious

from his stoop
it's pretty certain
with one swoop
it'll be final curtains

under the stars
in your dreams
the owls are 
not what they seem

the big and blurry
they offer advice
it's better to hurry
than to taste nice

occupy a special space

David Lynch was clever
that much was clear
but was he ever
really even here

he was able to fly
in mystery and grace
he and bigfoot occupy
a special space

like a popsicle
or the start of a rain
they both tickle
the heart and the brain

belief can be tough
a burden to bear
sometimes it is enough
just to be aware

master of his domain

does bigfoot have enjoyment
it's hard to tell
and about any type of employment
that's a mystery as well

it's all behind a veil
the big guys vocation
is it only to set sail

they say a rolling stone

in a big pond

bigfoot is the big fish
in the big pond
he forms his wish
in the great beyond

silently he has passed
through your soul
there a spell he cast
like a fishing pole

like a great wind
bigfoot blows through
you don't know your friend
but he knows you

he is grooving free
flies with no fear
he is a moving tree
with eyes and ears

as the ufo hovers
above and beyond you
you will discover
you're in the pond too

I will soon be returning to the holler to try to get the motorcycles and cameras set up and dialed in to shoot videos. From day one this blog has been an adventure in doing things that I don’t know how to do. Wish me luck.

the reign of the machines

life is losing its meaning 
you know what I mean
it's a complete house cleaning
done by the machines

we will board no more ships
nothing will be able to hide us
all of us will have computer chips
implanted deep inside of us

we should be nervous
our work ethics erased
any motivation or sense of purpose
will be laid to waste

we're all left numb
ai wants us to snore
bigfoot doesn't seem so dumb
at least not anymore

try to follow his trail
a mission full of tension
as he escapes thru the veil
into another dimension

a big thumbs up

try to avoid disaster
try to be wiser
everything looks faster
through the visor

your reflexes are tried
your eyes are big
flying through the countryside
on your motorcycle rig

feel your soul glow
as you arrive
at least you know
that you feel alive

you'll never get tired
of this love letter
knowing you've just wired
yourself a little better

the bigfoot have agreed 
taken a poll in the tree line
you know they can read
your heart, soul and mind

The inspiration for this poem comes from several videos that I have watched lately that talk about the mental benefits of riding motorcycles.

with the night

all the bigfoot hide
wise to ignore our call
like the great tide
rises on the shore then falls

we're not allowed to know 
but we can ask
as the bigfoot go
on with their tasks

the waves they ride
play their own tune
maybe it's all tied
somehow to the moon

floating like great kites
riding on the wind
everything about the night
seems to be their friend

I am currently wrapping up loose ends to do the motorcycle videos. My last trip I shot GoPro and drone footage. I am now using those “practice” video clips in the editing process to learn how to combine them while using the motorcycle sounds with the GoPro clips and applying music to the drone clips. Once we get that workflow process down we should be up and running.

I'm a hiding hen
I sit on my nest
my gliding pen
it gets no rest

words I mix
words I match
wait for my chicks
for them to hatch

time I take
to cast my spell
rhymes they make
it past the egg shells

still heaven allows
them put and made
until the henhouse
bigfoot raids
