devil

Poems

is the yellow line

08OCT26

the devil or divine

the unknown is tall
on a tree leaning
his phone call
is free of meaning

to Heaven or Hell
the path rolls
it is a heavy bell
that the wrath tolls

pop the clutch
ride the wheelie
stop to touch
& decide really

it flows beyond
ride it clever
the road goes on
& hides forever

hard to level
the yellow line
is it the devil
or the divine

Enjoy your Thursday. Do not remain aloof from the goof.

Poems

give your palms

01FEB26

a rest on a tree

is Heaven above
the Holy Land
is it for love
that it stands

bigfoot waits
in the veil
are there gates
to a Hell

keep our heads level
what to do
they say the Devil
he believes in you

sin's cost
paid to free
Jesus on a cross
made of trees

midnight hour
sleep a wink
trees have more power
than we think

along hops
the rabbit
bigfoot stops
and taps it

live the Psalms
test and see
give your palms
a rest on a tree

living large
in the hills
able to recharge
at will

Enjoy your Sunday.

Poems

it’s not just a song

05DEC25

by Eric Clapton & Robert Johnson

keep your head level
at the Crossroads
because we know the devil
always collects what he's owed

avoid the baiting
you don't have a clue
he has been negotiating
a lot longer than you

the Crossroads they exist
really all over the map
waiting there in the mist
ready to spring the trap

avoid doing wrong
could happen even in Wisconsin
it's not just a song
by Eric Clapton & Robert Johnson

have to learn to roll
like bigfoot sneaking in the woods
learn to protect your soul
seeking only to do good

Go forth and do good on this Friday. And the smiling will probably take care of itself.
