bigfoot & Lynyrd Skynyrd

bigfoot IS free bird

bigfoot is in the trees
where he wintered
call him the breeze
like Lynyrd Skynyrd

does not abide
in the bars
or play slide
on the guitars

doesn't use cash
but does have a crew
a fiery plane crash
he'll avoid that too

is filled with sorrow
by the forest flame
if he stayed till tomorrow
it wouldn't be the same

try to absorb
let it be understood
he floats in an orb
thru the woods

strange to the eyes
it sounds absurd
but there he flies
free as a bird

In looking at the poem the line that bigfoot is saddened by the forest flame does remind me of several things I have read about rescue missions to round up injured and dead bigfoot after forest fires. Most of them seem to revolve around the Mt. St. Helens eruptions. Like every thing else involving bigfoot these stories seem to exist in the land of myth & legend. But that might be just as good of a land as any to write from : )

And the line made me giggle because it caused me to imagine bigfoot in a Smokey the Bear hat. We hope you get a chance to giggle today many times. And we wish & hope that in your heart & soul that you fly free as a bird!!!
