Sunday

Poems

a poem for a Sunday

13JUL25

church bells swing

church bells swing
they soar and toll
the song they sing
reaches for the soul

in their tower
tall in its glory
it is their hour
to call their story

signal the migration
the faithful tide
to scriptural explanation
the faithful ride

he knows well
for he too sees
he who dwells
out in the trees

Enjoy your Sunday!

Poems

sasquatch sermon

out n2 the woods

was even handed
words he said
as they landed
in my head

like a drumbeat
a verdict in court
the entire fleet
landing in port

echoing in caves
the eternal flame
across the waves
it all came

along they flew
clever as they came
and I knew
never be the same

Heaven approved
pronounced it good
told me to move
out n2 the woods

One quick thing before you head out on your Sunday. You may notice that the home page now has an additional name for the blog. We are now beginning our 4th month and many of the readers have suggested that we might try something that better suggests the poetic nature of the blog. So we will experiment with this and see how it goes.

Enjoy your Sunday. Smile a lot!
