& its refection

about sin
is bigfoot knowing
where he's been
where he's going

is there reflection
in his eternal being
as he escapes detection
& anyone seeing

does he have thoughts
about the Way
or does he get too caught
up in his day

has troubles he got
out in the trees
maybe he is a lot
like you & me

he is quiet

the truth glistens
in the in between
bigfoot listens
to what it means

lies are a tomb
dark & cold
path to doom
truth not told

silence is just
about as bad
sneak if you must 
it is just sad

the truth looks
in your reflection
open its book
sure is its direction

bigfoot thinks clear
in the night
it's easier to hear
when your quiet

he is a mirror
in your soul deep

all of the selections
that you make
he is the reflection
of what you take

out in the woods
eyes gentle & sad
all that is good
all that is bad

the good book
on the shelf
open & take a look

birds sound the warning
they sing and play
it is a new morning
it is a new day

laced with romance
leaves yesterday behind
seizes on the chance
to smile and be kind

the kindness you wield
tempered with reflection
a new life you build
your hammer is affection

bigfoot has sailed
like a big boss
your troubles have been nailed
to a big wooden cross
