bigfoot contemplates Nosferatu

count bigfoot

we were before
we will be again
we're the candy store
filled with sin

on our coin
the face of hunger
as we join
we become younger

offer romance
to the soul hollow
leave this dance
hunger will follow

in the flame
we're there too
say my name
it is Nosferatu

That poem the way it stands now is okay I guess. But around here we have a hard time resisting getting goofy. So here goes…

we're telling you
you'll be bitten often
a smelly shoe
is our hidden coffin

There have been several new articles in the last few months on the new vampire movie Nosferatu. I have seen one a couple of times that points out that the director Robert Eggers’ new version seems to twist some of the commonly accepted beliefs about vampires.

In this movie Count Orlok’s death is not caused by the sunlight. Instead according to Eggers it is the purity of the dawn that kills the vampire. He suggests that this is actually the more traditional vampire folklore.

“plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose” or “the more things change the more they remain the same” This was written in 1849 by Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karrin 1849. I had always kind of associated it with Led Zeppelin (The Song Remains the Same : ) )

This quote seems to suggest that even though things seem to have changed on the surface sometimes over time that proves to not be the case. But you can always google the movie or the quote if you want to take a deeper dive.

Whatever it is you dive into today have fun. If not then consider doing something else – like immediately : )
