Poems

well worn

17AUG25

the storm to weather

are you squirmin'
under a heavy weight
do you need a sermon
to set you straight

to help you stand
the storm to weather
fill your hands
with some calf leather

it may be time to skip
letting the darkness in
touch your finger tips
to paper like onion skin

it's all you need
right there in your reach
waiting for you to read
and hear it preach

out in the woods
in bigfoot's playpen
swore I could
hear an "amen"

Enjoy your Sunday! Unmask a smile. They are contagious!
