if he cloaks
to make his way thru
then the joke
may be on you

to the golden calf
do you look 
as you laugh
& close the book

little progress made
of any kind
if you are afraid
to open your mind

as bigfoot winks
like a paradox
it may be time to think
outside of the box

in the afterglow

on the day after
chocolate weight gain
love and laughter
hope that they remain

they are gold in your hearts
your soul to lift
put them in your carts
as you exit Egypt

let them be deeply felt
learn to laugh and cry
don't use them to melt
into a calf at Sinai

glean the tablets of stone
as the angels fly
on the unseen and unknown 
keep a watchful eye
