it’s a fun game

and really sweet

a festival & a grill
share a name
a beast in the hills
is called the same

together they gather
all together excited
bigfoot would rather
not to be invited

know he will appear
so stay alert
colorful and clear
on many t-shirts

time to unwind
and spend big bucks
in the lines
at the food trucks

it's a fun game
and really sweet
it's in his name
that we meet

we know he'll escape
but we don't despise
we love the big ape
in the county of Wise

The poem is probably not my best work but I am kind of in a rush to get over to the Woodbooger Festival in Norton VA this morning. My cameras should be ready to go. I am looking forward to attending the festival. It will be my first time. I plan to get there and take a quick picture in front of something with the top hat and ukulele. And then I will start taking pictures of the festival and people in their bigfoot t-shirts. Hopefully you will see it in the blog and on you tube in a few days or weeks.

Enjoy your Saturday. Smile a lot. I am pretty sure I will be in a sea of smiles all day. That is pretty much how the bigfoot crowd rolls.

but still a scholar

the bell rings 
the bell tolls
let it sing
in your soul

to have hope
it is good
proclaims the pope 
of the woods

moves at night
thru hill and holler
seeks to do right
& not the dollar

wears no white
on his collar
does not write
but still a scholar

we do the math
at that we're a whiz
do we think our path
is better than his

listen to the bell
as it swings
beyond the veil
waits the King

the promised land
full of hope
it is a big hand
that pulls the rope

I should be very close to putting out a new drone flyover video that consists of bush hogging on the same hill that the other 3 videos are on. I should get it onto you tube either today or tomorrow. I will be spending much more time in the holler over the next few months. I will probably put about 10 new videos up on you tube by the end of the year. I am waiting for the leaves to change color on many of the videos. And for some of the videos I am probably waiting for them to fall off of the trees so the drone can film what they hide.

The poem mentions the path that we all choose in our life whether we are aware that we are choosing it or not. So choose your path mindfully and stride forth boldly with a smile on your face.

they all go

over the earth
they all go
know its worth
more than we know

can't be trapped
or put behind bars
able to adapt
to where they are

able to take
all that Heaven allows
refuse to wake  
inside a house

what they've got
they carry in the wind
know luxury is not
anyone's friend

luxury is a tune
read it and resist
because pretty soon
you'll need it to exist

I have a 7AM medical appointment this morning. I have to check in at 0645. Have a great day. Smile a lot.

hiding in forests

prophets and priests
the Kingdom come
marching secret beasts
to a different drum

quoting the laws
guiding for us
loathing the saws
hiding in forests

angel wing feathers
heavenly powers
they all fit together
in this world of ours

impossible to try
to reach an accord
who wears the tie
and holds the clipboard

on they go
strange and large
impossible to know 
who is in charge 

come with a ton
of questions and doubts
but sure are fun
to think about

The Norton VA Woodbooger Festival will be taking place 26-28SEP25. It starts at 4pm on Friday. The festival will be in downtown Norton and also up at the Flag Rock recreational area on the mountain. At this point I am planning on attending on Saturday.

For those of you who did not work yesterday I hope your week gets off to a good start. And that goes for those that did as well.
