in the pen

writes the pen
ideas it asserts
like a hen
scratches the dirt

down by the barn
in its yard
spinning yarns
like a bard

weathered planks
like arrows in a quiver
sailing by the banks
of a might river

the eggs laid
along with the poop
hoping bigfoot doesn't raid
the chicken coop

time to grieve 
down on the farm
easier to believe
under his arm

knows it all

bigfoot is the farm
where possibilities grow
he is the loud alarm
that there is more to know

he is the floating balloon
all ten feet tall
only a buffoon
knows it all

he is the departing ship
into the unknown
take this trip
and have your mind blown

all of your wits use them
do not refuse to
after all you don't choose him
he chooses you

terror in the woods

the last time

have some terror
maybe you should
go make an error
in his woods

want to make haste
bigfoot will raise the bar
as you get chased
back to your car

iPhone or android
wings will be grounded
as you try to avoid
getting pounded

keep your heart rate
under a watchful eye
no one can elevate 
it like the big guy

away you flee
your life saved
maybe next time you'll be
a little better behaved

as bigfoot hides
and inspires rhymes
some people decide
it's the last time

the big guy's control
is still strong
that may have been his goal
all along

This will be a short post. So far the plan is for my brother to start mowing hay on Tuesday morning. So I am headed that way so I can have the photo bird in the sky above him as he starts circling the field on top of the hill with 2 of his tractors. Hopefully it will make for a fun and interesting video. In a few weeks you can be the judge.

I hope you start your week with a smile and the expectation that you will have fun thru it all.
