Poems

bigfoot & David Lynch

06JUL26

peeking twins

they set sail
as either looks
they both smell
what the ether cooks

lady of the lake
song sung blue
have a different take
strong & true

take their mind
give it wings
know you'll find
it riveting

they're both speaking
in the wind
they're both peeking
like twins

Enjoy your Monday. I hope it is a great week for all of us. Do not remain aloof from the goof.

This is another post about David Lynch. For those of you who are not familiar with him I will explain some of the lines. Peeking twins is a reference to his TV show Twin Peaks. His films and TV shows were very different to say the least. So that is where the line ” have a different take” comes from. Both he and bigfoot seem like they are from somewhere else. And both seem to be pointing at things we don’t know about. That is where the line “smell what the ether cooks” comes from. And the line “lady of the lake” kind of riffs on the mythical nature that they both share. And it points to the fact that there seems to be an awfully lot hidden and unrevealed.

Poems

smiles made free

05FEB26

as the day breaks

memes to friends
still they roll
seams in the wind
fill the soul

blows in the trees
free they ride
knows the free
sees them hide

escapes the death
of the law
is the next breath
that you draw

life is not a sprint
it goes on
you are sent
for a marathon

smiles made free
as the day breaks
by the Lady
of the Lake

answer the call
climb on board
as the water falls
from the sword

in her hand
as light as a feather
time to get the band
back together

lots of surprises
to be met out there
as your spirit rises
with Excalibur

the Thunder rumbles
the sword has risen
time to stumble
out of your prison

time to try
the words you see
time to fly
with the birds & the bees

Enjoy your Thursday.

Poems

bigfoot lake

in your heart

from the beach
lady of the lake
feel her reach
your heartache

find it shoved
into a stone
what you loved
is not gone

how Excalibur
glistens in the sun
shall be there
when all is done

it still gives
does its part
as long as it lives
in your heart

And just in case this is not bigfoot enough for any of you, I’ll throw in some more optional verses.

so keep watch
& do not sleep
just in case Sasquatch
tries to peep

watch the clock
I think you should
could be some rocks
thrown from the woods

Enjoy your Sunday : )
