David Lych Week

Poems

but I found

01MAR26

a Lost Highway

bigfoot is a dream
the pull of wishes
he is a stream
full of fishes

climbing salmon
roll and spawn
time to examine
our soul and beyond

pure is his look
is in videos
lure of his hook
the whole city knows

looking for a sign
tossed my way
what I find
is a Lost Highway

beside a lake
that heaven allows
with Robert Blake
and no eyebrows

strong is the drink
that Lynch stirs
hard to think
in a bigfoot blur

a head of steam
a gate to the past
spread the memes
curate and broadcast

be the herald
the bugle sound
make the world
go round

it's mixed bag
but we still try
to salute the flag
that we fly

The David Lynch theme continues. If you are curious about Robert Blake and no eyebrows you can google exactly that. There are even several you tube videos on that scene in Lost Highway. Enjoy your Sunday.

Poems

with a drum roll

28FEB26

bigfoot observes

turn the wrench
the wheels roll
learn some Lynch
heal the soul

drive the car
the woods thru
get a scar
could be good too

run the race
the good soldier
not on the face
could be the shoulder

measure & run
faster than the crowd
treasure your fun
broadcast it's allowed

become whole
enjoy the curves
with a drum roll
bigfoot observes

your brain & soul
you get back
your train rolls
on the right track

learn to use
what you see & hear
let your muse
be the engineer

together soar
what fate brings
listen for
her great wings

write the words
that she sings
with the birds
& bee stings

unwind leisure
let it reign
find the pleasure
in the pain

together jumping
the fake fence
together pumping
to make sense

cleverly learning
new information
never returning
to the station

banging hard the drum
that brewing fate plays
the report card comes
spewing straight A's

The David Lynch theme continues. I am thinking about putting a clickable link to the Blue Velvet words in the Manifesto poem to all of the blog posts that mention David Lynch. I will let you know if I actually do that. Enjoy your Saturday.

Poems

under a blood red sky

27FEB26

he could not stay

float in dreams
sisters & brothers
boats in streams
without rudders

let your trips
be of much use
kiss the lips
of your muse

take a vote
is it a crush
your lips float
& softly brush

your passion burns
like the young
maybe even learn
to use some tongue

discover what's missing
from David Lynch
like lovers kissing
craving in French

under a blood red sky
he could not stay
bigfoot said goodbye
on a Lost Highway

not an ape
that goes thru the veil
will be no video tapes
in the mail

The David Lynch theme continues. If you do check out Lost Highway or any of his movies be sure and approach them with an open mind. I guess I am assuming that if you are reading a poetry blog about bigfoot your mind is probably more on the open side already. Enjoy your Friday.

Poems

bigfoot they describe

26FEB26

going way back

Second Corinthians
Four Eighteen
think the Indians
can see the unseen

the ear of corn
down to the kernel
their tribe born
into the eternal

most of the tribes
consider it a fact
bigfoot they describe
going way back

is no window
in the teepee
but they seem to know
more than me

eternity speaks
thru the trees
maybe the "Twin Peaks"
are teepees

David Lynch week continues. Actually if you look at the Manifesto in the Drop Down Menu you will see one of his movies mentioned. So hopefully he has been with us in spirit on our journey. Enjoy your Thursday.

Poems

to honor David Lynch

24FEB26

and bigfoot

forever in between
does it speak
was it ever seen
in Twin Peaks

get in our head
some sign hand us
does it put its lead
on some kind of canvas

does it rhyme
with reading the news
spend its time
in running shoes

before the bench
its argument put
to honor David Lynch
and bigfoot

does it send
in our dreams
through our friends
in the memes

is its pleasure
your North Pole
does it measure
our heart and soul

This could be turning into David Lynch Week. Enjoy your Tuesday.
