running away with me
secrets they're keeping
my dreams from me
like bigfoot peeping
from behind a tree
lead me on dances
offer me drinks fizzy
the truth in glances
that leaves me dizzy
memories like glowing embers
what does it all mean
all I can remember
something tall was seen
all of these Temptations
humming like birds & bees
or "Just My Imagination
(Running Away With Me)"
Enjoy your Wednesday. Do not remain aloof from the goof.
The fourth stanza is obviously a nod to the Temptations and their 1971 hit song “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)”.
NOTE: The blog has a menu with more video content. On a computer it is at the top of the screen. On a tablet or mobile device it is the 3 stacked slashes to the right of the word ASTRA. Enjoy the blog.
